Sewing While Raining!

The last week mum has been at home with the idea of doing some gardening and outsite jobs...that hasn't happened so we've been sewing.  Jelle made a surprise visit up for a few days last week too!

Beach Sling Bag

Mini Bags (Jelles homemade pattern) Yes I've used a doily and florals!!

Turning Twenty Pattern - Using some of Jelles new fabrics

Dilly Bag/Hand Bag - Jelles fabrics

Again that Sister-in-law Sonnie saw this pattern and I just loved it....not all the time when I was attempting to make it up though mind you!  In the end it all turned out and I'm pretty impressed with the finished product!

New Doona Cover

I got this fantastic daisy and polka-dot print fabrics from Highfields, Toowoomba.  I didn't know what to do with it until I had an idea to make it into the doona cover complimenting it with plain navy, white & yellow so as not to loose the effect of the large print.

Anyway this is the result so far....

Fractured!

When Jelle was here late January I decided that I wanted a 'challenge'!!!  So this is what we found in a Down Under Quilt magazine!  I've made mine using a colourwash style look with a specific person in mind....however Jelle is doing hers in creams & Debbie Mumm colours - more like the pattern.  The quilt is a queen bed size.  Thanks to Jelle for the extra borders and the quilting & BINDING!!! :)
