Happy Birthday Jill

I made this runner for Jill Kemps birthday - she was 21 not long ago and we went to her 21st at Lotus Park on the weekend!  She loves PINK............., black & white.

New Doona Cover

I got this fantastic daisy and polka-dot print fabrics from Highfields, Toowoomba.  I didn't know what to do with it until I had an idea to make it into the doona cover complimenting it with plain navy, white & yellow so as not to loose the effect of the large print.

Anyway this is the result so far....

STAMPIN UP BIG SHOT

The picture below shows two items made using the Big Shot.  A note paper holder and a card.  The Big Shot embosses and die cuts paper, card, fine chipboard and also fabric.  There is a huge range of templates that can be used in the Big Shot.

If you would like a demonstration on using the Big Shot please contact me.

With thanks to my very talented friend and sister-in-law Sonnie Allen - she made the note paper holder and card for my birthday!

Something for Me!

So I finally made something for me and kept it!  It's only a note book cover but all the same for me!  I have sent a lot of my latest projects down to Kerry Wolff for her online shop and I didn't photograph it before I sent it.  I will put Kerry's details on here when I get them!!!

Sewing Retreat with Jelle!

Hello - yes I'm still alive and making things and photographing them but not getting them to my blog quickly or at all like I should be!!!  So I'll start with last weeks effort:

Jelle came up on Sunday arvo for a few days just us sewing, foot to floor going for it!  Although our intentions were good we did have a few hic-cups!!  Our first one was for the better - we travelled up to Iddy Biddy Patchwork Shop at Proserpine for a look see and show & tell - ( www.iddybiddydesigns.com ) they have a huge range of fabrics and great bunch of ladies that go there!  Jelle took up some quick & easy project ideas for their get togethers too.  Back home, we stopped at Needleworx Mackay for a short while as we were headed to Sarina doctor for Lacey.  All in all we had a great day out and got some awesome stuff for projects to come.  Jelle wanted to have a go at 'Confetti'....so off we go designing our landscape pictures and we're into it!!  Jelle is wanting to hand on her new found 'expertise' to her ladies back at Wowan!  Hope you enjoy our projects as we did making them!

If someone knows how I get these photos the right way up in my blog please let me know!! They are saved the right way but went whoopy here!!

Jelle had a table throw made out of the new rectangle packs you can by, I like the quick & easy idea so I made these few.  I got this fabric from Needleworx.
I bought this as a Layer Cake at Iddy Biddy!!

Mr Peacock!

About 2 years ago I was at Jelles; mum had given me this awesome book of woven fabric pictures.  In it was a peacock!  I had in my mind that I wanted to do one of these so I got all the right fabric from Red Polk-a-Dot in Alice Springs when I was there with mum & dad a month or two before.  After one trial and muck up we figured out the circle that made the main part of the Peacock was going to be HUGE not the 30cm one I had started with!!!!

I havn't had the patience to make another one yet but maybe soon!

Presents! Happy 18th & Happy 21st!

The Zippy folder and pencil case were for Breanna for her 18th birthday!!  The zippy folder is just bigger than A4 so it can be used for books or note pads.

I made the red & white polka dot for Tiffa - this is another pencil case type pattern that you can adjust in size to your liking.  The polka dot fabric is actually plastic so Tiff could use as a dilly bag too.
